Expedition Style Cruising

Join us for an unforgettable experience exploring the wonders of Alaska’s inside passage. You’ll sail through narrow channels, past towering mountains and stand on the bow to take in the all of Alaska’s ruggedness and beauty. This is a true adventure, and allows us to visit places larger cruise ships and vessels are unable to access. We will get up close and personal with Alaskan wildlife and landscapes. Enjoy gourmet locally sourced food prepared by our chef. At the end of an adventurous day retire to a comfortable stateroom, complete with a large en-suite bathroom.

Kayaking, Hiking and Zodiac Explorations

Wild Dawn carries Current Design tandem kayaks for all guests. This allows is to embark on kayak excursions with the entire group together, depending on the day we’ll paddle along the shorelines of a secluded cove or head out into open water hoping to see the marine mammals that ply the same waters we’ll be paddling in.

The crew loves to get ashore and hike and there are many options from casual to strenuous, some of our hiking is on maintained trails, but most of the time we follow game trails through the woods taking time to enjoy and learn about the local flora and fauna.

On the top deck we carry an 18ft Zodiac with a 70hp Yamaha outboard engine, the Zodiac can be launched at moments notice with our knuckle boom crane. We use the zodiac for a vast variety of activities, from taking us to the beach for a bonfire or trail walk, to viewing wildlife or glaciers up close, and of course for fishing and setting and retrieving our crab pots.

Fishing Crabbing and Shrimping

We take pride in our ability to harvest the oceans bounty aboard Wild Dawn. During the charter we have the ability to set crab pots, shrimp and fish along the way.
