M/Y Wild Dawn
Wild Dawn is a 98 foot custom motoryacht built in Chula Vista, California by the Poole Boat Company. She is constructed to commercial vessel standards with welded aluminum. The Poole Boat Company is also known for building the bulk of the Southern California long range tuna charter fleet with vessels that regularly travel over 1000 miles into Mexican waters.
With her 25 foot beam, unusually large for a vessel of her length, she is the perfect vessel for Alaska. She provides a super stable platform and offers the interior volume of a much larger yacht.
Wild Dawn underwent a comprehensive refit from 2008-2012, which included replacing the original 2 stroke Detroit Diesel engines with new Caterpillar C18 engines. This allows for reduced fuel burn, quieter operation and a much lower impact on the environment. At the same time, both generators were replaced with new 65 KW Northern Lights Generators and all new electrical distribution panels were installed. Once the mechanical update was completed the staterooms and heads were all completely redone.
Wild Dawn boasts four guest staterooms, each with its own beautiful en-suite head. The Master stateroom has a king size bed and both a tub and marble shower in the head. Guest staterooms two and three have queen size beds, and the fourth guest stateroom has a queen size bed along with large bunk beds, perfect for families.
With a large salon and a full beam covered aft deck, Wild Dawn’s common spaces are inviting and comfortable. The aft deck has plenty of seating to relax and a large dining table for outdoor meals with amazing views!
She carries an 18 foot Novurania Tender with a 115HP Yamaha outboard as well as a four two person kayaks and paddle boards.
